Today’s Russian Jews speak Yiddish which uses Hebrew characters and words from several languages. After their defeat by the Rus many were dispersed westward but enough millions remained to carry out the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. The early Soviet Government was about 85% Jewish and its secret police (NKVD) contained about 80% Jews. The descendents of Khazars now control the U.S. Government and guide both its domestic and foreign policy. The World History Atlas contains maps that show the location of the empire and it says the “Khazars [were] descendents of Turkic and Iranian tribes from the Caucasus who founded a major trading empire in Southern Russia in the 6th century A.D. In 737 they moved the capitol north to Itil, near the mouth of the Volga, adopted the Jewish religion and started massive westward expansion. At their peak in the late 8th century they ruled a huge area from Hungary and beyond Kiev almost to Moscow. Two Byzantine emperors Justin II and Constantine V (in 732) took Khazar wives.
